New Inductee: Josh Friedberg

Josh Friedberg Inductee

When Jarvis Leatherby of the internationally acclaimed heavy metal outfit Night Demon, proposed that the Atomic Cult permit Morbid Eclipse to preside with them for a performance, the answer was an immediate “yes.” When Mr. Leatherby revealed that the show would be with the N.W.O.B.H.M. legend Raven in a garage the Atomic Technicians dropped everything to prepare for the trans-temporal leap. This performance is not only significant because of the awesome bands involved, but for the highly deserving Inductee.

On October 18, 2014 the newest Inductee to enter the fold of the Atomic Cult was Josh Friedberg. Mr. Friedberg has been a long time advocate of the Atomic Cult and through the complexities of inter-dimensional and multi-temporal existence, is Zach Friedberg’s brother. Do not attempt to understand the complexities of time travel unless you have earned your doctorate in Unified Multi-Temporal Science. This author has not, so he will not provide any further explanation.

The Rites of Ascension were presided over by the Atomic High Priestess of the First Galactic Order, Jen-For, and carried out with great zeal. All attendees felt the brilliant warmth of the Skull of Seldon’s radioactive presence and Mr. Friedberg drank deeply from the Prime Radiant’s well of heavy water. Having already attained significant commendations from the Atomic Cult, Mr. Friedberg’s first mission consists of [[[[[[[[[[REDACTED]]]]]]]]].

Some unusual events transpired during the evening’s ceremonies. As they travel through space and time, Morbid Eclipse inevitably picks up a variety of cosmic debris. When they arrived in Isla Vista, CA they discovered the 20th Century King of Pop, Elvis Presley, had stowed away on their ship. “Space” Elvis enjoyed the festivities and disappeared after the show. If you think you see Elvis sometime after October 18, 2014, it may actually be him.

New Inductee: Adam L. Murray

Adam L Murray

On September 20, 2014, the Morbid Eclipse was summoned to the 5 Star Bar in Los Angeles, by the Church of the 8th Day to provide direct support for the monumental Gravehill. As this was a last minute lineup change, the hyperdrive engine and flux capacitor were pushed to their limits to make the trans-temporal and inter-dimensional trip in time. The night was also a test of the recent Inductee Mike Rivas‘ execution of his first mission for the Atomic Cult. Indeed, Mr. Rivas performed his first mission well, as Morbid Eclipse was greeted with a tremendous crowd and a fine new prospective inductee for the Rites of Ascension–Adam L. Murray.

The Atomic High Priestess of the 1st Galactic Order, Jen-Al, presided over the Rites of Ascension. Mr. Murray was summoned to before a full house to gaze upon the ceremonial space sacraments. With noted eagerness he pulled in the radiant wisdom from the Skull of Seldon and welcomed the radioactive warmth from the tritium rich heavy water. Shortly afterwards, Mr. Murray stated that “I have opened a new chapter in my life with an unparalleled sense of purpose and power…let’s drink a beer!”

Adam L. Murray is notable for his spectacular live band photography, dedication to all things Metal and beer, and his unique zine Heavy Cream. On his first mission, Mr. Murray has been instructed by the Atomic Cult to join Morbid Eclipse on a journey up the California Coast in December. Mr. Murray will document the journey and the Rites, and help everyone drink heavily.

Adam L. Murray, welcome to the Atomic Cult.

New Inductee: Mike Rivas

Mike Rivas Induction

On September 5, 2014 during a highly auspicious ceremony, the Atomic High-Priestess, Jen-Al, of the First Galactic Order presided over the Rites of Ascension where Mike Rivas was welcomed as a new Inductee of the Atomic Cult. Mr. Rivas will play a key role in Morbid Eclipse’ efforts in this century to counteract the deleterious impact of the Chaos Storm. As his first mission, Mr. Rivas has been instructed to recruit prospective Inductees in the greater Los Angeles area. If successful, on his next mission the Atomic Cult will send him into the future on a secret assignment involving interplanetary espionage.

Thanks to the legendary 21st century extreme music documentarian, SexThrash69, for capturing the full performance and ceremony.

Mike Rivas, welcome to the Atomic Cult.
